Stressed? Overwhelmed? Anxious?
Yeah, that's a lot of us these days. And among the antidotes to help
us get through these challenging times is mindfulness, or the practice
of being fully in the present moment.
• What is mindfulness?
• How does it work, and
• How can it help us navigate the never-ending year that is
2020?
Join your neighbor Ann Deschamps (10906 BHC) for a free 60-minute introduction to mindfulness and the science behind it. We will explore different mindfulness techniques including meditation, body scans, and mindful listening. There will also be time for questions. Ann has been
practicing and studying mindfulness for 8 years and is participating
in a Brown University Teacher Training Program.
Sunday, October 11, 2020 – 4:00 pm. Please let me know if you plan to attend – anndeschamps@hotmail.com or 703-625-5727. We will gather
(practicing social distancing) in the open area directly behind the
Clough house (10920 HSC). Please bring your own chair and wear a mask. Rain date: Sunday, October 18, 2020 – 4:00 pm.
